Beginning over a century ago A man, Frank L. Fenton patron of a fine designer glass company soon started a glass blowing operation. The first apprentice to learn the skill of gathering glass and mastering the process was Frank O. Myers. He went on with his own expertise creation of the first Fenton Glass basket. This man became very masterful at reshaping, flaring, and crimping the top of many types of glassware. Mr. Myers became an expert at affixing handles on the cruets and jugs to market the glass baskets.
Today the legacy continues on for these fine artistically designed glass items, especially for the collectors. Fenton glass can be identified by the distinct handlers mark on the authentic pieces. These symbols indicate the name and years of the work done by these masters.
